Look with: Hot Hot Hot and Free to Be MAC eyeshadows

I've been itching to get my hands on some of MAC's new permanent eyeshadows and I finally did.  This look is featuring Free To Be, but I also snagged Lucky Green.  On a recent trip to the Pro store in Las Vegas, I couldn't leave without taking home Hot Hot Hot and La La -- two new gorgeous colors from the new Color Story collection!  It's been a while since I've done a pastel-shadow look in the pink/peach realm, so here's how it turned out:

Brushes you'll need:

- MAC #'s 214 (short shader brush), 217 (blending brush), 242 (shader brush), 222 (tapered blending brush), Small Angle Brush (263), and 116 (blush brush)

Products you'll need:

- MAC Eyeshadows in Vanilla, Orb, Expensive Pink, Free to Be, and Hot Hot Hot
- MAC Paintpot in Soft Ochre

- MAC Powder Blush in Pinch O'Peach and Dame

- MAC Lipsticks in Creme d'Nude

- MAC Slimshine lipstick in Funshine
- MAC eye kohl in Powersurge

Supplemental:
- A brow-filling product - Mascara

Eyes...

[* Cover the entire lid from below the brow to the lash line with Soft Ochre using your finger.
[* Apply Vanilla to the area underneath the brow bone (217).
[* Underneath Vanilla, apply Orb as a base up to the lash line (242).

[* Apply Expensive Pink to the inner half of the lid extending above the crease (242).
[* Fill the outer half of the lid, crease, and outer V with Free to Be by taking up small amounts of shadow at a time and building color (222).
[* Darken the outer V with Hot Hot Hot (222).
[* Diffuse the line between the highlight colors and crease colors using Orb; go over the highlight color if you must (222).

[* Line the upper and bottom lash lines with Powersurge.

Cheeks...

[
* Apply Pinch O'Peach and Dame to the outside of the apples of the cheeks, blending out toward the hairline (116).

Lips

[
* Apply Creme d'Nude to the perimeter of the lips (like a liner) and to the middle of the top and bottom lips.  Then, lightly apply Funshine by "patting" the lipstick wand onto lips staying inside the "liner."

Additional finishing steps: [Fill in eyebrows using MAC's #208 Angled Brow brush and MAC Eyeshadows in Charcoal Brown and Espresso], [Tame unruly brows using MAC Brow Finisher in Clear], and [Darken lashes using MAC's Plushlash mascara in Plushblack].
